IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur jumped 13 and 10 places, respectively, to be ranked in the top 50 universities’ rankings among Asian countries by QS, global higher education analysts. Among Indian universities featuring in the top-50 list in the QS University Rankings Asia, IIT Bombay and IIT Madras joined the likes of Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore (33), IIT Bombay (35) and IIT Delhi (36). The QS University Rankings Asia was expanded this year to include the region’s 350 best universities. In the overall rankings, the National University of Singapore and University of Hong Kong retained their first and second positions, respectively, for this year.
