Govt. plans centralized recruitment of teachers

Hon. Vinod Tawde, the education minister, Maharashtra state said, “The state government may soon recruit teachers and professors in aided educational institutes through a centralized system to make the process transparent”. Next week, the minister will hold a meeting with representatives of schools in Pune that registered 0% result in the board examinations to discuss how their performance can be elevated. He said the government would also address all the complaints pertaining to admissions to seats reserved under the RTE Act with priority. He further put forth that teachers' organizations are asking not to increase the retirement age of professors up to 62 years.
